the one thats constant for memory. would it not work the same? forgive my electrical ignorance

 

Only 2 wires into the cb, power and ground. A constant 12v would just keep the CB on when the trucks off. The idea is to have it under the seat and not have to manually turn it off.

 

I'm sure I can put a little 3-12v battery inside just not sure how to so it doesn't keep the whole circuit I tapped into powered.

I have a booster pack that I sometimes charge from power outlet in every Toyota I've used it in, it will keep the vehicle radio going when key is off ( kinda cool and convenient when camping )
