consider the location where you're welding the rails ( the physical location of truck in relation to the ground and how level it is ), if the truck is not sitting level, you can leave a twist in the frame once the sliders are welded on. the frame is reasonably flexible, once the the sliders are welded on, you will loose some of that flex, and what twist is there, it will be set. Bolt on's don't have the issue because they can twist a bit

it may not seem like an issue, until you can't get the alignment right or there is a slight pull you can't figure out. or now suddenly the tail gate drags all the time when opening and closing ( extreme, but it happens ).

This is also an issue when welding in a cage to a truck ( or car ) I've seen it a few times, Drag car sitting on stands, cage welded in, set on the ground, moved, and then set back on stands in a slightly different place, at same height, chassis now rocks on the stands. floor is slightly different, chassis is now rigid.

    something to consider

I can't believe Brees went for it all on that last play. Maybe hoping to get a penalty and kick a field goal or something? Oh well.
