    @voz my previous statement came off as harsh, that wasn't how i intended it.

    my thought was the LT1 in the Roadmaster is all cast iron ( Vette's and F bodies had aluminum heads ) so its heavier, the (mild) HP boost and the added weight aren't going to be kind to a lot of things, the rear axle being one. didn't know if you had something else in mind for the rear( front too for that matter)

    I wasn't taken that way sir...
    Ford 8 will have chromoly shafts, c clip eliminator kit, locked.
    Front 30 will remain, will also have shafts and be locked.
    4 cylinder does not get me up hills on the road, but does fairly well on the trails...
    If I remember correctly, Chevy is 20
    Lbs heavier than the 4cyl
