    My 04 I bought a while back. Sr5 3.4 5 speed with 130k on her now. Since I’ve bought it I’ve put Bilsteins all the way around, FJ coils in the front with 5100s at middle setting, air ride bags in the back with CBI reinforcement plates, tinted windows, procomp wheels, 275/70r17 bfg ATs, touchscreen pioneer deck, front hitch, led corners and backup lights, and Morimoto HID headlights. More to come soon!

    Yep, guilty. I didn't realize there was a difference. But I now think that Impulse Red is red and Sunfish Red is more maroon.

    There is only a very slight difference between them.


    Impulse red was available on '01-'04 Tacomas and the Sunfire Red Pearl was on '00 and earlier models.

    My '02 with Impulse Red Pearl paint wearing aSunfire Red Pearl canopy. In some light and some angles, they look very similar.

    Those photos are most helpful and should help clear up some confusion. I was thinking that Implulse red was the bright red that some folks have posted in this thread.

    There were two reds offered from '01-'04. The other one is called Radiant Red. Looks almost orange next to our trucks. :p

    Yep, that's the red I was thinking. Now that you mention it, it does look a bit orange compared to our trucks. I do like it though.
