Anyone here wheel with friends that run large trucks Ram 2500 and so on. My wheeling buddy sold is 4 door jeep and picked up a 2500 cummins. I am wondering how capable the truck is? It's not the Power Wagon and he is not going to lift it more then a level kit and run 35s. My concern is the fact I can't winch out a 8000 lbs truck.

Big trucks like that aren't good to wheel with...way to heavy...IF you do , I would only wheel with a regular cab...My suggestion is for you to go first and him follow you..tht way you can use his truck to pull you out, which it will be very good at haha...Don't get me wrong tho..Cummins are awesome trucks...miss mine everyday :(

Heavy as fuck, lots of torque and power, way too wide and way too long unless it's a reg cab. If your concern is winching you could always buy a snatch block with a winch extension / tree saver.

If it really came down to it, you could winch him out, you'd just have to be careful and use pulleys and additional anchor points.

There's no way I'd buy a 3/4 ton truck with the intention of taking it wheeling. I've seen them get through some pretty tough terrain on job sites but they are not ideal for off roading any sort of tight, technical trail.
