Don't these mounts prevent the ac panel from coming off? Steps to remove the radio: 1) pop off ac panel, 2) remove the 4 bolts holding the radio in. Not bashing them at all. It's a great idea to put ram mounts. I'm just looking ahead.

Unfortunately you are correct, they must be removed prior to popping the AC control panel out.

BAMF sliders with kick up. BAMF all skids. Icons w/ CDC up front. Icon UCA's. All pro expos with 12” kings in rear. Wheelers superbumps. 285 stt pros on black 16" fj wheels. 1" Bora wheel spacers. Relentless tailgate reinforcement. Ditch lights front and rear. Aironboard switches. Aux. bussman box.Center console vault. Esp locking storage. Tuffy bed box. Rear seat molle system. Color matched grill.Rear diff breather mod. ABS switch. PrInSu cab rack. Gusseted spindles.
Got these installed. As @EDDO said there really is no shortcut to installing these. With my tiny arms and hands all snaked up thru the glove box I felt like I might have a chance of doing it but at the risk of dropping the backing plate I decided to abandon that attempt. For the drivers side was thinking of going thru the 4wd switch but for 2012 and up (I'm a 2015) to get the knob and switch out you have to take out the stereo surround anyways so no shortcut there.
I started a timer and collected my tools then went out and tackled this in 47 minutes, probably close to cutting that in half if i did it again. Backing plates were aluminum so the threads are a little more susceptible to vibrations I would imagine than steel but it feels like I could rip the dash out before the threads fail. Seems super solid and looked incognito when installed. Highly recommend! Thanks again Jon

I just happened across this thread today. Is this still a thing? They look easy enough to make myself, but you can't beat $25+ shipping (if that's still the price) vs. my time and materials. I'd be interested in a set if you are still making these.

How the F did I miss that.
Its worth 1.5X that, if you look at RAM mounts prices.

So from what your saying, since it does Exactly fit a TACO it should be wroth twice the price!
