Just got home tonight and I'll be at the shop bright and early. I'll check in with the crew, I'm assuming you guys still need brackets? If so I saw them at the powder coater sand blasted and awaiting powder wednesday before I left last week so I expected them back Thurs - Fri last week.

Checked in with PCer this afternoon. They're still blasted and awaiting powder.. told me tomorrow or friday morning. At which case we'll ship as soon as in hand, and they go in the 2-3 day priority boxes.

I'm really willing to accept raw metal brackets shipped to me, as the powder coating is just taking too long. Please advise at your earliest convenience..

    Thank You!

I just don't want to wait any longer. I might die of old age before I get them. I just want them shipped in the raw. ASAP.. I'm not upset at the guys..as I know they have said there were issues with the PC beyond their control, but as of right now...let's just end this...

Agreed. I work at a fab shop so I know where they stand. Don't have time to make my own between school full time and work full time. I purchased this bar for a night offroad trip planned Aug 9/10. If it doesn't get here by then and give me time to get it installed I'm gonna be pissed lol.

    Gents...

I received the brackets for my 50", but the mounting solution is less than to be desired with the way they connect to the light bar. The brackets are smooth and the light bar ends have notches that match the original cheesy brackets that come with it, so they lock in place with the teeth. I'm in the process of cutting the smaller brackets with the teeth/notches and then mounting them to the larger brackets, so the notches will be in between for a better clamp and hold and allow up/down adjustment. Also gonna drill a small hole next to the larger bracket hole to be used as a set screw so they will never droop or move once screwed in. In addition...drilling through the rubber channel without tearing apart the rubber will be done by freezing the rubber first and then drilling to create a clean hole.

Mounting a heavy bracket with light on top of the rubber channel strip will let the light teeter front to rear unless you drive the bolt compression down tighter than hell and I have a fix that so it will never teeter. Will use a nylon/plastic cylinder sleeve that the mounting bolts will pass through, so that it hits the bottom of the roof channel and it will never teeter or flex and it will also not over compress the bracket on top of the rubber channel cover. Pics to follow!

I'm sure most have already mounted their bars, but just wanted to share my concept and will post detailed pics of the bracket mod and mounting solution.

Started to fab the brackets. A little bit more work to do. Sliced the aluminum bracket ends in half and smooth out for mounting to the steel brackets (Wish they were steel so I could weld them on..:D). Tap both brackets for screws, bevel edges and paint. The recessed hole on the aluminum bracket piece is where the screw tap will go. Should lock in more solidly with the notches matching the brackets and light bar mount points. More to follow...

Damnit! I hate being in transit around the world...I just saw the first GB for these and then a link to this. :( Guess I will hope for another run like this and also hope that I see it while it is going on, heh. Great looking lights, though, and great GB prices, too!
