I have looked up what a couple of other Led Light Bar users have done for it but am unsure what the best fix would be. And I believe the first gen sits lower cause of where the mounts bolt in. Second gen sits a bit higher with the 42" bar.

How did you run the wires up by the sunglasses holder? Great spot! I just ran them to the side of the steering wheel by the mirror switch

For whistle, seems to be case by case. My truck was silent, went offroad and aimed the bar higher and picked up a whistle at 70mph+ like an on switch exactly at 70. Initially just thought it was the side wind conditions but didn't change. Aimed the bar the slightest bit down after a couple days and it's been silent ever since. So anyone that finds a whistle, test adjusting led bar aiming or (2nd gens) slightly adjusting the mounting bolts to change the clearance between the windshield and led bar

Will try that in the morning Eric. Thanks again for everything.

As for the wiring for the switches, I ran the wires from the switches under the head liner, down the B-post, and then under the plastic foot cover at the door which is where I connected the them to the original wiring harness. Had to add about 6 feet of length to it but in my opinion, was totally worth the extra time. Gonna end up making a 6 slot switch bank angled for more aux switches and so you can see them better while in the seated position

    That looks really clean Parker.

And Eric I have tested it that the only way for me to eliminate the whistle is to aim the bar as far down as it goes. Pointing straight out my whistle starts around 50mph and goes up in tone every 10mph.. Kinda cool but annoying. Is it the fins on the back of the light bar or the brackets do you think?

Just got back from some night wheeling. Amazing light output, lit up the sides and could see many pairs of eyes. Mostly deer but I did see some bear (I believe, wider eyes and didn't stop and stare) Couldn't see any bodies but amazing none the less. Ill take some better night pics soon, this one is from tonight, about 30 miles back off main road

    Hello to all,

I had the opportunity to buy one of these lights as part of the group buy, however as I was getting to wire my light I found out that my commute to work will triple in distance.. So I must sell some stuff in order to buy me a nice little compact car. :-(

So, I figured I would give somebody on this thread the opportunity to buy my light. 42" Radius with harness and brackets for second gen. I also bought a really cool off road switch with the tacoma truck on it which I would include.($20) I know some people were waiting for the next gb but no you dont have to wait for a great deal $450 and I pay for shipping. Let me know....

    Thank you

Gotta say these things are amazing! The amount of light is just ridiculous. I took a bunch of pictures of the install if needed.

It seems like it comes and goes depending on the wind. The first day I noticed it. Then I adjusted the bar and seemed better. But maybe I dont notice it as much as others might with my tires, exhaust, and stereo being loud.
