Couldnt control your speed? The lane closures are placed to have enough room for workers and the traveling public. The lane closure request are sent out 2 weeks before the work is being done to let the traveling public know to use alternate routes. If you're carrying a wide load transguide lets everyone know to use alternate routes. My advice is to slow down if its too narrow, I'm real big on saftey, almost got killed a few times.

They were joking around with each other. It was 3 AM and not a single vehicle out so they weren't expecting me to come through

Yea i can see that. If they get injured its all on them. I've seen so much carelessness/complacency on the roads, you would think they care and want to come home to their families. But then again, you can't fix stupid.

The posted limit was 15 but I was doing 10 since the trailer was empty and there's a few turns involved in that little area we were in.

Thats good, i can see you care. Ive seen too many drivers either delivering materials to the projects, or just hauling a load not care about anything. Wish all drives would drive below the posted speed limit.

These trucks are designed to run over rocks, I think the Taco can take on a traffic cone

It's not always the drivers fault. Sometimes the cones are laid in a pattern that wont allow a truck to clear it. I ran over one once and when it finally kicked out, it was deformed and smoking. They called my company and bitched, but I had spoken to my supervisor before the incident telling him about the roadwork and the ridiculous narrow lane. They just blew the incident off.

    Shit...
I once ran over a box spring matress doing 70 in a '95 Cavalier; with 4 electricians and all our tools. Nada...

I'd be somewhat surprised if a cone screwed up my Tacoma.

Let’s be honest... “2 million accident miles” was an opportunity for you to fluff yourself up and try to sound big online. Actually made you sound pretty douchy yourself. I’ll happily carry on thinking you’re full of shit.

Btw I teach race car drivers as a side hustle and have 2 billion accident free miles. :jerkoff:

I would check your front bumper and chin spoiler for scratches or paint transfer and loose chin trim pieces. Next Look at your front skid plate for a possible impact from the cone. Then look inside your wheel wells for a possible stuck cone and check your mudflaps to see if any broke off. Lastly I would check your wiring and brake lines along your rocker panels and bed side to see if any were damaged.

Your skid plates are probably ruined. Time to upgrade those.
