Need help making a choice between a brand new Ranch shell carpeted interior standard back glass for 1500 otd or a used A R E less than a year old carpeted interior and top of the line with a roof rack for 1500 otd. Which is a better deal

Never heard of the Ranch brand shell. My guess is that the A.R.E. Would hold its value better.

Note that I have an A.R.E. so may be biased.

I had a ranch on my previous tacoma, the shell color matched my truck perfectly (Barcelona Red). If I had both of them sitting side by side for the same price I would buy the ARE. New Ranch shells are cheaper are made to be more affordable, so they are not the same quality as ARE. JMHO.
