I used the same set-up on mine, Rancho, General HD, gave my truck a 2''lift & .5'' rake. Rides very much better, firm in back but not harsh. Axle wrap completely gone. I also replaced my out of round rear brake drums & brakes, now the brakes are perfectly smooth. I had around 162k miles on the truck when I when I replaced this suspension so it really needed the maintenance. I had to cut 1 spring eye mount bolt & 3 U bolts on the rear & 5 of the 6 upper spring/shock bolts on the front, used a corded 90* grinder with cut-off wheel to make the cuts. Very satisfied with the results.

Wanted to post an update since I have seen other folks describe failures of the Rancho 9000. Both rear shocks have failed. On one the adjustment for dampening rusted itself in place...Wisconsin winters but really bad sealing on the controller. The other failed due to the oil seal going bad and the shock was coated in oil leaking out of it. I also noticed that one of the front strut adjusters will only turn 3 clicks. So I will replace that one soon. Three out of four is horrible quality control. The made in the USA label certainly doesn't mean much with Rancho.

I do like the shocks on the softest setting as I am 99% street with some towing of the boat.

Using the lifetime warranty and returning to rockauto but would be interested if anyone has found a good shock and front strut combo that levels out with the General HD rear leaf springs -- again about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of lift in front.

I actually jab the same set up w rancho lift on the front and general non HD leaf pack w 1/2" add a leaf and it maxed my 9000's out. It makes no since to me seeing that the rears came w the quicklift as a set. My plan is to get 5100's and longer u bolts and see if that helps. I love the road ride and trail blazing I can do but the lean has gotta go. Wish I would've gone w HD
