I need to replace the rear shocks. Previous owner at one point had Rancho 5000's installed and one is now leaking. I am running stock height and don't imagine a lift in the future. However I am interested in replacing the leaf pack with a a stronger firmer set at some point in the future. I have read a lot of great things about 5100's and Kings, but I don't crawl, and I don't wheel. I haul things now and then and a few back roads here and there. But mostly I use my truck to carry heavy shit home from the hardware store.

I really like the idea of the adjustable ride firmness that the Quicklift and RS9000XL offer. But I have heard (and experienced) poor reliability from the Rancho 5000 series products. Does anyone have any words on their new stuff? Is the adjustable ride any good? Does it work as advertised, or is it just another gimmick. It looks like it debuted at SEMA 2010, and I don't see a lot online besides Rancho's own videos.

Looking at my cart right now at RockAuto I can get front shock/springs and rear shocks from less than $500 before shipping. Feels like a good deal.

I would suggest full OME, though they will give you a lift. I don't have experience with rancho but I would stay away just from the bad rap.

Give wheelers a call, they have a set of factor ride height leaf springs.

Appreciate the response Nagorb. I know it is the same as what some others have said in the past. I will give wheelers a call.
