Recently had a new stereo system put in my 09 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Sport, I have noticed that when the door is opened and key is in ignition there is no chime alarm, also have noticed when the door is open it will lock the door while still opened, the headlights on chime alarm does not seem to go off anymore either, half the time when I open my door (even with it set to door mode) the main interior light will not come on, any ideas on what needs fixed?

Is there a reason you linked where I posted this in another forum?

The door switch is stuck. remove it and test it or replace it.

It has nothing to do with the stereo installation.

Use a multimeter... It is a normally open switch. Unplugged from the circuit and not depressed the switch should read infinite resistance, when you depress the switch it should read very near zero resistance.

Yours may simply be stuck in the pressed in state.
