I have a set of eyelids ordered from eBay that I would like to get painted.

I originally attempted to order the Duplicolor Touch-Up paint from local stores but none were able to get it (even after being told twice that it was on order for me).

I've looked online but for a small spray can + clear coat + shipping I am looking at roughly $50+.

I would like to find an auto paint shop to paint it for me then I don't have to worry about trying to do the work myself and making it look good.

Does anyone know of a shop that will do small parts like this at a reasonable fee? I tried a local paint shop and was told $200 was the minimum for any service they did, didn't matter if it were eyelids or a door/fender etc...

    Thoughts or recommendations?

i think thats bs...i was like you and didn't want to go through the hassle. i think your best bet is to call several other shops around. luckily i have a buddy in the business and was able to do them for $25.

The problem is that unless a shop is doing multiple parts with the same color you are going to pay a fair amount. It seems most shop labor rates run around $100/hr and this doesn't include supplies. I would do some research on the internet and then buy the products to do the job. Take your time and it will come out okay.

Ouch. On the bright side though, your eyelids look great!

like others have said, call around. they can mix up small amounts of paint! I have seen it done before, it will just depend on the shop. Keep us updated. Dont fall into the pit of paying too much.

I'll try to continue calling around Monday. I was hoping someone else w/a similar experience would know of a paint shop that I might could mail it to etc.?

As a side note, does anyone know a reputable site to buy 1G3 spray paint (Mag Grey Metallic) online since I can't find it locally?

any body shop can mix it up. they get the color code off of your driver door and wahlah.
I had some touch up paint mixed up at a local shop around here, looks waaaayyy better than that crap you get at the dealer.
Just call em up man. Most reputable shops will do this no questions asked for a nominal fee. Mine (Impulse Red Metallic Pearl) and some clearcoat, was 18, and it took 15 minutes to get it.

I went to my local paint shop and asked if they could paint my satoshi grille for me the next time a silver tacoma had to be painted. I had to wait a few weeks but they did it for 100 bucks. Maybe you could call around to the paintshops in your area and let them know what color you would like to get your eyelids painted and next time they are doing that color maybe you could get yours done cheap?
