    Exactly.

Hazelwood gun and tactical in Waynesville NC is likely the biggest gun store I’ve seen in the area.

We have a few instructors available to us. We also have an entry level competition that’s very fun. Today at 1pm actually! Steel Challenge is a great way to start competing and have a blast shooting. You can use rimfire pistols and rifles, regular pistols and pistol caliber carbines.

3Gun 1st Saturday, USPSA 3rd Saturday, Carbine match 4th Saturday and Steel Challenge 4th Sunday.

The first two matches may change weekends in 2019 but as of now they aren’t.

That is actually accurate and the story of my life.

What I really want is a friendly shooting competition, weekly. Had that in Asheville at On Target every Monday night and damn did I get good with a handgun during that time. Especially now that I’m not able to shoot off my back porch like I could in Asheville.. there’s nowhere good to shoot around here that I’ve found.

With that being said, if y’all do this weekly, I’ll definitely be in during non football months and if we have a crew coming from Wilmington I’d love to take turns driving

Sweet! How many noobs are out there regularly? I don’t want to come and show my ass. I’ve always wanted to shoot 3 gun but have never done it. Single gun courses with plenty of mag change experience.. but multiple firearms is gonna be new to me.

You’ve got me stoked on this right now!

Also, I’m held hostage by a broken keypad on my gun safe. Replacement should be here Monday but I’m not sure it’ll work. I feel naked without access to my guns.. only one that wasn’t locked up was my 300blk bolt action :annoyed:

We usually have a goon squad for all of us and the new shooters. That way we can help with "teachable" moments. It's fun as hell and we even run a 2 Gun division for guys without a shotgun most matched.

That’s awesome. I sold my shotgun before I moved to the coast so I’ll have to snag one sometime soon.

Any “must have” gear aside from slings, mags, mag pouches, eye/ear pro etc? Prolly need to buy another gun belt.. I’ve gained 30lbs since I shot competition in Asheville so I’m fairly positive my belt no longer fits haha.
