    whats up guys my bro has a ranger 4.0 and says his will take my tacoma out

    anybody compare these two yet? i see comparisons between tacos and frontiers but no rangers

    its all about the driver and i don't think the ranger has a locker option just a limited slip and not even a good one at that. yes the ranger is smaller but thats the only advantage. The last few times i've been offroading i've seen more stranded late model rangers than anything else.

    If you guys go off roading to find out, make sure you get out front first, otherwise all the parts falling off his truck are liable to damage yours.

    No comparison. I've had a couple Rangers. In the 4.0 (the biggesr engine) you get a 160 hp OHV or a 210 hp SOHC. Neither one compares to the power, refinement or fuel economy of our DOHCs.

    I had a 4.0L Ranger. Like others have said, there is NO comparison. Ford quality sucks, Ford customer service sucks, and Ford trade in value sucks.

    i had a 98 ranger...i kept it for 6 months...

    my buddy has an 04 ranger edge with the 4.0l...that thing sucks donkey nuts for sure...he's had it in the shop more times than i can count and parts that shouldnt have broken and burned up/out etc etc

    whats really funny is i test drove the truck he bought before i knew he was buying a truck...and i remembered how much i hated the ranger i had and decided against it
