    In the simplest terms, a MilTec is someone that essentially does the same job as a civilian as he does in uniform. Some days he wears the uniform or even gets activated and deploys, most he just wears his civilian clothes.

    I think to re-word my post #1, it's a kick in the balls being 99% certain that right now I have no chance to advance, but IMO the same me 5-10 years from now would find a red carpet escalator into a warrant or O program. That's the crutch of it. Just like when I got 90% of my degree on the Montgomery GI bill and the last semester it converted over to the post 9-11 and the pay difference was enormous. I should have worked those few years first then went to college lol. It is the way of life, but still stings.
