Living "close" the Seattle uber green nonsense - it make very little sense to have a hook on a trailer hitch for a DD.
That is more common in Renton, MV, Enumclaw, Quah, NB, Sammamish, etc.

The theory of a radiator punch is valid thought as even though it is illegal in WA to text & drive, there are Darwin's finest still at work.

Said hook can be thought of as a healthy reminder to pay attention while doing the most dangerous activity average humans do.
If that reminder is ignored, here's a new radiator and possibly a new engine for not paying attention.

Mine never comes off because I pull my boat a lot. I also live/work/drive/park in Seattle every day. Most people only smack their shin on a hitch once in their life, so they'll figure it out...

Stop making sense with your words and what not, no one cares about how physics works in the real world. And your examples are clearly elaborate hoaxes that you fabricated.

You should write our city council, they’ll probably vote to tax tow hooks within city limits.

I always have either a shackle receiver or my hitch ball in either the Taco or the LC!

Been bumped at stop lights four times in one year with it in there!

Ask me how much damage my truck sustained, ZERO BABY!

    This is how it unfolds,

I get bumped, I get out the truck walk around to the back and the person in the car walks up to me says “any damage” and I look at my hitch piece and I say “no I’m good” and they say “great we don’t need to call the cops I’m really sorry” and then they turn around and they see the hole in their front bumper and they go “oh shit!”

I've been hit twice in my last truck, zero damage to my truck both times. One of the other cars lost their grill, other lost the radiator and grill, I told them both to put their phones down when driving.
