    Hey guys,

New TRD OR owner. I’ve read up and searched and think I found it but I can’t really say if what I’ve read here is what I’m experiencing...

Going up a steep incline in 2wd my wheels started slipping, traction light flashed and beeped but there was this rapid clicking noise coming from underneath me (couldn’t tell if it was from wheel well or underneath dash).

It wasn’t a mechanical sound like it was major, but something I’ve never heard before. It was a rapid pop/click noise while traction control was engaged. I was able to replicate it again, it stops as soon as the wheels grab the road.

Sound normal? Likely I’m being paranoid but it’s my first 4wd so just checking it’s not axle wrap or something I need to address.

    TIY, and Happy Thanksgiving!

    Normal. Traction control makes noise.

I know this is normal on 2nd gens, its the "auto lsd" kicking in and applying the brakes to the slipping wheel.. im guessing something similar is taking place on your truck as well
