Yesterday I was on the freeway going about 60 when I had to hit the brakes pretty hard and as the truck was shifting down I heard/felt a weird vibration that came and went pretty quick. Could it have been the brakes or the transmission? Just curious if anyone else has experienced something similar on their 3rd gen Taco.

Was it the anti-lock brakes working, they make quite the vibration/ noise when they come on? Did you feel it in the brake peddle?

This is normal, has to do with tranny components, feels like a pulsed interjection which is designed to slow the drivetrain instead of just using the 4 wheel braking system...lots of detailed posts with what you are looking for to get to the knats ass of the answer....poke around a bit...but I an sure you will get a hit on the source of exactly what it is .....soon.
