Always good for the market when there is more competition, but the main guy selling fabricated grills is already located in the NE so pretty sure there is no shortage over here.

Custom fabricated quality takes time. Always be weary of vendors with no work backlog. They have no backlog for a reason (be it they are new to the market or provide a bad product and everything in between the two).

I see you purchased the mesh and letters that Matt sells - which he came up with after he purchased a grill from me and stole my design.

Im all about helping folks make grills - I sell kits too - but for pete's sake have the decency to be original.

I'm REALLY not trying to start anything here, just curious. But didn't someone else come up with the raptor design in the first place?

OP,I'm curious as to how long that grille has been on the pictured truck or if it's a new grille.

It started as a photoshopped pic in a thread - I collaborated with that member and Jerry at BAMF to create it and make it real.

Say wha? I must have missed all of that cause as far as I knew HomerTaco was the ONLY one doing the raptor grills, up until a few months ago. I remember when he only made 6 of them for a limited time only and I lucked out and was able to buy the mesh and letters off a member who decided to go another route after buying it all from HomerTaco.

Damn....I think I follow him on IG. I'm all for people coming up with new things to help the market out for our trucks but not at the expense of stealing others designs

He stole the recovery hook idea as well. He actually offers not one original product. Everything is overpriced junk IMHO. Bulletproof my ass...

Sorry OP, but your buying from a bad guy and following in his footsteps it seems.

Well the old saying is "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"

I doubt it means to sell someone else's intellectual property for profit though.

Not to start something, but isn't OP just offering to make Raptor grills rather than trying to say he started the trend? I don't know about you guys but the fact that we call them "Raptor" grills doesn't exactly make it sound like they are very original. HomerTaco does amazing work from what I hear/see but one of the reasons I ended up going with a grill craft was so I could have a new grill in my 2nd gen in under a year. I'm all for alternative manufacturers and if there work is shady I'm sure it won't go on for long on TacomaWorld. This is a fairly vocal community.

If everything becomes about who did it first then there's no competition and us buyers won't get good pricing/availability. I'm all for giving credit to the guys who come up with ideas first but really how do you expect the OP to come up with a totally unique "Raptor" style grill?

    Just my two cents.

*Edit* I just noticed OP has 1 post. If I were thinking about giving him money I'd make sure it's through a very traceable and retractable source or in person!

If getting a good quality and original grill means I have to wait the year... then I would much rather wait the year and have a great piece. No ofence OP but your grill looks like it needs a bit more of detailed work. Not sure if what I see in the picture is over spray or just dust and the letters look like they have an uneven coat of paint.
