OK so I am looking for some help wiring up my new grill Raptor style lights. I bought a EAG grill with the lights and I want to wire them in with the DRL’s. I believe I can just splice into one of the wires I have pictured and then run one of the wires to ground by the battery. Is this correct? Does anyone know what wire? Or is there a better way? Thanks for any help.3AC0F406-DD20-422E-83A2-6FB4178F5FB0.jpg92FA0662-B05E-4977-8F59-565C5F774F30.jpg09315567-7CE3-40DC-9DB0-9DB497482E6E.jpg

I would say, use a multimeter or a simple testing light and check those wires. Look for one that shows current when the key is on (regardless of headlights on/off), but is off when the key is off. Once you find that wire, tie the red from your grill to that, and run your black the the ground anchor that's next to your battery.

As far as which color it is? I can't say for sure, but it's always best to test just in case.

This is kind of what I thought. Now to see if I can find my Multimeter. Thanks

You want the little park light at the outside corner of the headlight if you're planning to run them with the park lights. It should be pretty straightforward. Splice your positive and negative both into the two conductors going to the socket. You may or may not be able to just use a generic frame ground here. With most modern vehicles if I'm adding anything like this I get both the positive and negative from the source and don't use a "frame ground".

Keep in mind if your lights are LED they are polarity sensitive.

If you want to run them with DRL's, your simplest way would be to put a switch in just for the lights, otherwise you get into the flashing issue mentioned above.

What results do you want? You want them on when the key is on?

I still say you best and easiest bet is to use a fuse tap and find a fuse in the fuse box to meet your requirements. That's what I did. Very easy.

I have the same set up on same year truck. I just ran the wires to a wire tap to the internal ignition fuse and ran the ground to easiest available spot. By running to ignition fuse they automatically turn on and off with truck. Just ran wire through the little rubber fire wall port. Fuse tap was like $5 at autozone. Took all of 10 minutes to do

So if I tie into the park lights, they will also work when the headlights are on as well correct?

Yours looks awesome with the light bar. Did you do a write up on that? If I cant get them tied in with the corner lights I will probably do the fuse tap.

Thanks! And no just the fuse tap on the raptor lights. They turn on and off with the ignition on the truck and stay just as bright with the headlights.

LED light bar in the grill is ran to a rocker switch in cab I put where I had a blank by my fog light switch. The ditch lights on hood are ran to same switch as led light bar too. Fuse tap was super easy. Hardest part was fishing wire through fire wall. Lemme know and I can do a full write up for doing the fuse tap. Very easy and there’s no splicing into other lines

Absolutely! I’ll get all the info on the mounts and light bar and get some pics of the wiring and do a write up on it

White/black will be the ground....green will be the positive. Tap into it. You can ground just about anywhere

That's an Avid front bumper bar. They're a vendor here on TW and offer discounts.

Actually sold it about a year ago

I added a waterproof connector to make removing the grill easy.
