I am looking to do the EXACT same thing you have going on evantid6 . An LED light bar at the bottom of the grill and ditch lights on a rocker switch. I have these all ordered and coming in this week, actually. Also, raptor lights hooked up just like you have it.

A write up would be sweet!

Yes. They turn on and off with the ignition of the truck because I did a fuse tap to the ignition fuse in the interior fuse box. Was super easy. I can turn all the lights off/on and the raptor lights stay on as long as the ignition is on

Yea I’ll try to get one done this week. Wasn’t that hard if you’ve wired in led lights before. If you have any questions before I do the write up just shoot me a message and I’d be glad to help!

So I went with tapping into the corner light. So Off with DRL’s, On with the park lights and the headlights.

Where did you find the connectors?

You can get them on line. But I happened to be at a large car show/swap meet in July and there was a vendor that had them.

Another option is to buy a trailer wire connector and just use 2 of the wires. You can find those at Walmart for $5

You can always run with your parking lamps on. This will give you the grill lights and DRLs on together. Sometimes I do that

Here is mine. I tapped the corner light but they turn off when I turn on my headlights. Does anyone know which fuse to tap inside so they stay on all the time?

Tap the ignition fuse in the interior fuse box. That’s what I did and mine stay on all the time and turn off automatically with ignition

I'm guessing by "fuse tap" you're referring to something like an "add-a-fuse"? So, the IGN already has a 15A fuse, what amperage fuse did you add to power the Raptor Grille lights? 10A or another 15A?

The LED's draw so little power. I used a 15A on mine in the "add-a-fuse". I wired mine a little differently and used a switch in the cab, so I can turn them on and off anytime I want (running day or night)...but I know the OP didn't want to run a switch.

Did you do a writeup on your switch install? I foresee this in my future...

I took some pictures and will try to make sure I get this done right

I ordered the switch from CH4X4.com

    IMG_0060.jpg
The wires coming from the LEDs are just a red positive and black ground. They are covered in that black wire casing that I'm pointing to.

    IMG_0061.jpg
    IMG_0062.jpg

I split off the black ground wire from the positive and ran it up to the factory ground on the fender.

    IMG_0063.jpg

I then ran the red wire through the grommet in the firewall

    IMG_0065.jpg
There is is on the inside by the driver's side footwell

    IMG_0068.jpg
So here is where is may get confusing. The switch has 4 wires, and for the life of me I can't remember which one is which! There is a diagram in the packaging, so it should be straightforward. I wired it this way:

-The power wire from the lights to the red with yellow stripe
-Combined the green illumination and yellow with red stripe to the add-a fuse that I connected to a slot on the interior fuse box.
-Black wire to a ground spot on the interior firewall

    IMG_0067.jpg
    There is the add-a-fuse connection.

After that, the lights should turn on and off as you want with the car running, independent of the lighting or the DRL's. There is one issue that doesn't really bother me, but it may bother others. When the lights are on or off, the lower text is always illuminated, and the illumination does not dim when the parking lights or headlights are turned on.

    IMG_0070.jpg
This is the lights in the off position

    IMG_0069.jpg
This is the illumination with the lights in the on position

    I hope this helps!

How come most folks aren't transferring over the Toyota logo from the old grill to the new EAG grills? It's super easy to do. The Toyota logo pops right off the old grill.
