On the contrary, when I bought mine last month I found out that the 4X2 Access Cab is by special order only in Colorado.

There is no such thing as a rare Tacoma. It is a mass produced vehicle by one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world lol.

You can't swing a dead cat by the tail around here without hitting all manner of tacos, there's even a scattered single cab around that are only available via import from south of the border. Guy in the office next to me has a v6 AC LB SR5.

The truth. most tacos around here are access cab 4x4. Ski town so lots of single dudes that don't need double cabs and 2wd is just idiotic around here. There's a chick that moved here from texas with a 2wd 4runner and she's notorious around town for getting pulled out of the ditch 3 or 4 times a week (but she also just can't drive)

A while back I parked beside a base model double cab 4 cyl. On the right side of the tailgate it just said Prerunner which I found odd.

Seems like the DCLB 4x4 is less common in the US while it is probably the most common configuration in Canada

They're everywhere around here... I miss my AC but alas, car seats don't fit all that well in them so it's a DC for me for a while.

I just bought an AC 4x4 4 cyl....only took two months to find one. I called every dealer within a 200 mile radius and they thought I was crazy..they only stocked DCs. They said nobody wants the AC or RC any more  ended up having one brought in from several states over. I have yet to see another newer one in my area....

    Do dents and scratches count?
In my area otherwise known as the "Sat Belt", where every vehicle has a white paint job. The rarest of all Tacos is the one without frame rust.

The T-Force editions are kinda rare. I've seen two in Corpus though...
