    I’ll take cats over mice.

Cats basically take care of themselves. Put out food a couple times a week and your set

Depends on the rodenticide being used. Any rodenticide sold off the shelf is not going to inherently secondary poison. Most of the stuff I use as a licensed professional won't either. However, stuff does exist and we have to request special access and permission to use it. I have several coworkers that are 10 year veterans of the industry and they have only requested usage maybe once.

0E7CABD5-5B62-4D69-8FF6-B0564A065886.jpg So been looking through the forms but have never found anything that showed you how stop the little critters from getting into the air filter. Went for a drive the other day and found the truck a bit sluggish so decided to check the air filter.
Well they got in and chewed a brand new filter up but never went all the way through so I lucked out there. They also chewed a hole in the main filter housing that the filter sits in, not good as this part up here is $128 cdn, if they would have gotten through the other filter that’s in there you can’t buy it as it’s part of the whole filter assembly and it’s over 1k. So I had to order the filter housing and just put another filter in.
Decided to do something about the hose that goes through the fender, had to take off the air pump to get at one of the bolts that holds it on, it promptly snapped off so something for the summer to do. The hose is some sort of hard rubber which in cold weather is hard to detach off the filter. So got it in the house and formed some galvanized wire mesh over the open end then drilled and riveted it to the hose. Looks good hope it works.

might be a good idea to place the dryer sheets in the areas where the little rodents chewed the wires

Heard that cayenne pepper works. I've used traps that look like jaws. They stick their heads in there to eat some tasty peanut butter and snap! Recently had a rat find it's way into my garage. Saw it scurry across the wall as i was leaving for work. My garage is fairly empty so I had my wife crack the garage door open and hoped that it would find it's way out. Came home later that day, set a trap and overnight no bite. Next day i cleaned out my garage and that fucker wreaked havoc. Shit and rat piss everywhere and it chewed through some insulation for my furnace ducting. Haven't heard any scurrying in my ducting and no signs of rat shit anywhere so i'm thinking it moved on.

I had a mouse get in the furnace ducting and die in an area that was not accessible, the smell was fucking horrid for at least a month.
