This is not the speaker cover/A-arm rattle issue....I already fixed that.

The rattle is coming from the humped portion of the dashboard, on the top of the dash about 1/2 way towards the windshield. it is a tick tick ticking that goes away when I push down lightly on the hump. It seems like either the glue between the dashboard understructure and the skin, or a wire underneath tapping on the underside. I have a rag wedged between the dash and the glass that stops it. Looked into further removing the dash but it looks like a bitch.

Any suggestions other than turning the music up? :crapstorm:

I could barely get my dealer to apply shift TSB with flare and delay. They sure as hell aren’t going to help find a dashboard rattle, which is of course why I am asking for useful information on the internet.

Well that sucks! Where I live there is half a dozen Toyota dealerships within 30 miles of my house and if one service department is a bunch of bozzos I just try another. Hope someone has figured out the same iusse and posts soon. Good luck!

    Too few to list.
The instrument cluster comes off easily. There's a taco surprise under there as well. Go inspect.

I'm wondering if the colder weather isn't making these rattle issues more prevalent, so far so good for me here in the warmer weather
Good luck finding and solving that rattle

Did you ever find out what was causing your rattle or how to fix it? My 2018 is doing the exact same thing and its only 2 months old.

Pretty sure I found it. It was the plexiglass instrument cluster lens against the cluster housing. Plan to remove and either tighten the 6 screws behind or put a little foam or tape between the lens and the housing.

Now I have a new rattle developing near the head unit....

Good luck let me know how it’s goes I was planning on doing the same I thought it was good for awhile then it came back when I push down behind the hump near the windshield it stops. I have my 5k service coming up so I’ll ask them to check it out but I’m sure they will say they can’t replicate it.

To top it of took a rock to the windshield today lol
