Got a 07 Tacoma and have a really annoying rattling sound at certain rpms. Got under the truck and found a clamp that had come loose. I'm guessing it is for the heat shield for the cat . Anyone else ever have this problem?

probably the heat shield(s). On my old 2010 4 banger it started rattling so i just ripped it off. Probably some people that will advise against that (not sure of the benefits) but i didnt care it never rattled again!

I had one rattle on a different vehicle once. The spot weld had come apart. I figured the heat shield kept the carpet from catching fire in slow moving traffic so I just put a pop rivet in place to hold the shield to together.
