Got a new 2025 SR5. There's an annoying rattle from what sounds like right rear of the cab when I hit rough stretches of asphalt.

I have done the following troubleshooting already:
    • Buckled up all 3 rear seat belts
    • Folded all seat backs down
    • Folded all seat bottoms up
    • Removed jack handle
    • Verified nothing in the underseat storage area
    • Removed armrest from rear passenger side and verified the screws are tight
Nothing changes it. I am going to pull the jack out this morning just in case, but it seems like it's in there pretty tightly. Anyone other fixes? I hate having to take it in to the dealer but if it's something in the door I am not ready to start tearing my brand new truck apart myself.

    Thanks!

Wrap some electrical tape around the ubolts that lock the rear seats in place, the latch is rattling.
This has worked for many of us.

he said, he lowered the seat backs down, so you eliminated the need to do that.....

I suggest, dropping it off at the dealer & have them figure it out....

He said he did not want to take it to the dealer.

I am about out of ideas. Will have wife drive around with me in the back seat to see if I can find it. Otherwise I will take it to dealer and let them screw with it. It's not something obvious that's for sure!

Unfortunately it's not that easy on mine. I dropped the seat backs and tested, and noise doesn't change. Also then raised the seat cushions, again, no change.

While I was pressing against passenger door to see if those screws might be loose, I swear it sounds more like from center console area when my head was leaned over towards the door. Will get wife to drive it around on some roads that really aggravate it and I'll sit in back and try to pinpoint it. If I can't find it, then dealer has already offered to look at it and give me a loaner.

My tailgate rattles when closing, thankfully there is a TSB on it.

Do you have a tonneau cover? My clips would occasionally fall forward and rattle on the rear glass. Drove me nuts.
    Velcro to the rescue.

I am going to try this out as my seats rattle too. i dont hear it all the time, but it drives me nuts when it does show up. You just need a couple wraps around the ubolts i imagine?

When sitting in the front passenger seat, the noise sounded more like it was from glovebox. Opened it up, removed the owners manual, cable package, and all the paperwork. Buried at the bottom was a receiver hitch pin! That was what was rattling around over rough surfaces. Took that out, truck is nice and quiet now. Maybe this will help someone else in the future :)
