Had my truck delivered yesterday and no noises or rattles until I drove down a gravel road today. Now it rattles all the time. The sound is coming from around the rear view mirror or from the windshield side of the plastic trim that houses the MTS and Crawl Control buttons. The sound resembles that of a big water drop hitting in that area and the rougher the road the more frequent it occurs.

I'm planning to install LEDs in the map lights Thursday so I'll be pulling the plastic trim down to inspect if there is a loose wire rattling against the plastic but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and if so what they did to fix it?

    Thanks!

I tried to take the entire housing down to look for the rattle but couldn't mange to get it off so I went through with taking out each plastic cover.

In regards to the rattling, it is really strange. Each day I get in the rattle is gone until I hit a decent bump or go over a bump while turning. When I do that, a pop comes from the mirror/map light area and from then on it rattles. It's like a wire pops out of its holder and rattles against the holder but overnight it settles back into it's holder until it's forced to pop out the next day.

Super common prob on here. If you do a search you can find a few threads with pics of the piece that's rattling. When you pull the center console there's basically a white plastic piece that comes unglued... so it rattles against the console. I had the prob and had to reglue it. Voila. Gone for months.

Thanks for posting! I had done several different searches on the forum but must not have been using the correct terms as I did not find anything other than people having the rattle issue by the passenger tweeter speaker. Did you have to apply a lot of force to get the plastic housing removed? Thanks!

I am getting a rattle noise when I hit uneven road or rumble strips coming from the rearview mirror. It doesn't happen if I shake the mirror.

I searched....same issue or different? I will pull open the console and see if that helps
