Hey guys I was just wondering who has had this issue as well. My truck has had a loud rattle coming from the front passenger side for about 2 months now. I have taken it to the dealer 5 times to fix it and they have replaced the cowl assembly and still making the same rattle. Anyone know what else it could be besides the cowl assembly?

Mine makes a rattling sound as well on the passenger side, but its usually when its cold. I'm figuring its the tweeter cover, I just haven't messed with it yet. Its loud, but is definitely from inside the truck. Is yours inside or outside?

It sounds inside. And only does it when I am in drive or reverse. If I am in park it goes away.

Interesting. Not sure on that one. I have one that sounds outside but only in reverse and its not consistent.

I found my cabin rattle (tin can sound alike) to be the circular sensor cover attached to passenger dashboard speaker cover. A bit annoying, but I solved it by turning my music louder.

I got a rattle near the glove box latch, usually when it's cold. Yours isn't coming from that area?

That’s exactly where it is coming from. But it doesn’t matter if it is cold or warm when I am stopped in drive/reverse it starts to rattle

Have you had any luck diagnosing what it is?

I've been wanting to tear into it and see what the hell is causing it. It's like a buzzing, tiny metal BB kind of sound. If you find a fix, please let us know and I will do the same lol

Not yet, I am going to have a buddy ride in the back and see if he can hear it and try to pinpoint. The biggest problem is that it only does it sporadically. I'll go a couple of days and be like "damn! that rattle is finally gone" only to barely get that thought out in my head and it comes back

The easiest way to solve a rattle is learning to enjoy loud salsa music.

When my HVAC blower motor was starting to go bad, it would sporadically make that buzzing/rattling. Something about the fan in the motor not being the right dimension and cracks forming in the plastic. My AC kept working fine. The rattle would just happen every so often. Once the fan crapped out and decided to break completely, that's when I decided to go to Toyota to have them replace it under their "HVAC blower motor recall campaign."

I had an annoying rattle for the last couple months during idle and just found out one of my prinsu crossbars was about to fall off.
