More aftermarket support as well with the 14B.

Why meh on a Ford 9"? It's only the most commonly and widely used rear end in all Motorsports.

5:13 gears with a orb of traction all 100% rebuilt ss brake lines and disc brake conversion. Also rebuilt a Dana 60 kp front 100% with 5:13s open

In a conversation yesterday. Pretty much I'll be dragging the shit out of a 14b unless I'm on 40s

I think SAS is on everyone's list eventually lol it's just a matter of getting past bills and other wants, home remodels, selling whatever you can, and hoping to have enough in the end.

Meh, I dunno. I think I'd still rather go with the 14 bolt Corporate over a D70 based axle simply because of the mentioned advantages of the pinion being supported on both ends and the easy of setting up the gears. I wouldn't imagine that a standard D70 has that much less ground clearance then a 14b, but the Rock Jock custom housing probably has an inch or so. Still, as someone who has had a pinion bearing fail and lock the rear end up while going down the road, the pinion gear being supported on both ends (preventing the axle locking up if the bearing fails) carries a lot of weight with me. I guess it comes down to piece of mind and ease of maintenance over ground clearance.

That said, if you don't plan on running 40s then why not go with a 60? They have full floating axles (IIRC, the axles are the same, the 70 just has a bigger R&P) and better ground clearance than a 70.

Better to ask what I have not done.
Get ready for a little bit more work then just cutting off the old and slapping on the solid axle. You will have to tweak a lot more then you think.

Yea I'm planning on not cutting anything on the ifs until the front axle is fully built and and I have all the parts sitting in front of me. Trying to make it move smoothly aside from all the difficulties that I'm sure are gonna happen
