Hey guys, I have a 07 Tacoma 2.7 liter 5 speed manual. Had to do a head rebuild after cylinder 2 exhaust valve broke. When we put everything together after wards there is a rattling noise coming from the engine/ transmission connecting area. I put new clutch release bearing (NSK brand) when we put everything together. I figured it could be the pilot bearing making the noise so I pulled the transmission and swapped the old one for a new one (Toyota brand pilot bearing) and the noise is still there. When I push the clutch in rattling noise is loud but when I take my foot of the clutch the noise goes away. I'm thinking it could be a bad clutch release bearing. No modding has been done to the car. Does anyone have an idea if it could be anything else causing the noise?
