Rausch Creek Camping / Wheeling Weekend of September 6th

Just a heads up. This is from Rausch Facebook page.

" Despite pleas to the general membership we continue to experience difficulty with members breaking park rules. As a result, starting this weekend this is what you can expect. The girls in the office to take a little longer going over a hand out which will label the following items:

-Selt belt usage
-hanging off roll bars, bumpers, etc.
-letting underage kid’s drive
-drinking and wheeling
-trespassing beyond trail network
-Driving too fast
-driving solo (even in the comp course!)
-Bushwacking
-camping and deciding its okay to go look for firewood on the trails after dark
-blocking trails

Once you check in and hit the trails you can expect more eyes and ears out on the trails in the weeks ahead. If you get caught breaking park rules, you will be escorted out of the park. If you are in a group of two you will have to leave with them or wait at the office to see if a group will let you tag along (no guarantee that you will find another group).

If you get caught a third time breaking park rules or in other ways endangering yourself and others, you will NOT lose your membership (not yet anyway). Instead your membership will be modified to require that you pay for a trail guide if you want to wheel at our park.

Think this is all harsh? Yes it is. Harsher still would be for the park to have to put in effect vehicle inspection and random vehicle checks. We don’t want to go this route but the selfishness of a select few EACH weekend is making us take these necessary steps"

 

Yeah. To easy to obey those rules. They let us do whatever we want on the property and only give a handful of rules?... no problem.

 

That's disappointing the have to do that.

Agreed - Rausch rules are fair and common sense.

 

Its sad that they have to implement these rules. People never seem to surprise me anymore. There is always that DB that ruins all the fun for everyone else.

Rules are not hard to follow but I guess some people just can't get it.

Well it doesn't look like it going to be a big turn out which is ok, I much rather wheel with a small group.

 

Yeah. I have a few friends that are coming up Saturday morning.

 

I am leaving here about 1 on Friday, then stopping in West Chester to meet with a friend and heading up from his place. So I should be there around 5 or 6.

 

I'll be up there around 3ish.

Me and Scott will be there Friday. A few friends of mine are coming up on Saturday morning and Scott is bringing a few friends.
