My truck is a lemon. I've had nothing but problems with the 4 wheel drive. Toyota wasn't able to fix it after 4 attempts so they voided my warranty and said its my fault. I contacted a lawyer back in September but it takes a long time to go to court. My truck is getting inspected my the lawyer's mechanic in 2 weeks so I'm putting it mostly back to stock so he doesn't get the wrong impression. I've never submerged it, and that's what Toyota accused me of, but I figure it will help if my truck doesn't look so aggressive.

Sounds like he's trying to make the company way bigger than it can be right now

It can be rolled off a cliff hit by a commit eating by a sea monster but that only counts if they build it right from the factory iv had several tacomas and have always had some type of issue but my older trucks I couldn't kill and I tryed think I'm going back to 85 p/u or 4runner

I'm concerned about going for something too old and having a shit ton of work that is over my head. I think a 3rd gen 4 runner.. probably a 2000 is new enough that it doesn't need any work that I can't do myself and old enough that its way more affordable and I won't cry if I beat it up.
I do love the things people do with the older trucks.. but thats above my skill set.

Im keeping the compressor and locker either for this truck if I end up having to keep it, or for the next tacoma. I think I'll get the "Big Nig version 2.0"

^ This.... IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!

Damn that 4runner is a beast... solid axle is sooo sexy

Limited models have the electronic 4wd system. You'd want to drop back to an SR5 model which has the old school manual 4wd with the shifter and all.... :D

I was going to pm you and ask if there's anything I needed to know. I also want to know how your build is going. Are you keeping track of it online anywhere? I think me wanting a 4r is mostly your fault lol.

    Thanks Kevin.

Well unless I know what the voltages are supposed to be there's no way for me to know which is the culprit... Right?

Still just getting started with it but looking forward to getting it on the trails. :D

I've got a build thread going over on RST and on T4R. Hadn't really posted to much about it on here yet.
