So, I'm trying to get the drivers side mirror off so I can put the RAV4 mirror in. I'm prying on this thing to the point I think it's gonna break. Anybody got any suggestions?1515790638891813764967.jpg

Just a thought, if you have heated exterior mirrors, make sure not to damage components while removing and making sure the other part is compatible.

Yep that's the idea, in the pic you can see 2 separate white plastic pieces. One is the cup that fits into the motor housing. The mirror should pop from the clips and leave the white pieces in tact. Problem is they don't want to let go and the 2 white pieces are actually separating. Want to make sure I'm doing it correctly before I go ape shit in it and break it.

Pull harder close to the center of the mirror. It will snap free. Just be careful not to overextend the 2 heater wires on the end by the door. I already did both mirrors. You can always pop off the mirror caps to help see where the clips connect. That is actually better so you can disconnect the heater wires first. Remember the wires can be reconnected either way. No polarity to heat the coil.

Ok, just seems like I'm gonna break something, I see the 4 clips that have to pop. May try and warm it up with a hair dryer, thanks for the reassurance.

Just did it the other day. Pull harder. I went in a fast motion upwards and they popped right off.
