Only if you're anywhere near a school

I can't wait to throw on the weds though and feel the difference in acceleration. I'll be going from the 29lb per wheel FJ wheel to a 16lb wed wheel. Thats a helluva lot rotational mass being cut down

Definitely should make a big difference. Are you still running your stock pulley? I've been thinking about running the 2.85" one and getting the URD MAF sensor calibrator. With the TRD CAI and exhaust, along with the smaller pulley, I imagine the MAF calibrator could find quite a few ponies.

You know it has crossed my mind a few times but I think i'll stay away from heavy performance parts. My taco is my winter vehicle & hauler so my other ride is the speed machine. And in that sense how much power do you really need in a chicago winter :D. I'm also guessing to get back a 1-3mpg from the wheel swap. Running the heavy FJ rims & heavy e-load 285 duratracs put a nice hit in my mileage

I was thinking about doing the same with my Pyrite. You may have just convinced me.

They're good, I have to adjust my "taco lean" a little more and than readjust the headlights. They're not 100% perfect ( left is cocked slightly at an angle and the right is just slightly blurred ) but thats me just being picky. For the $$$ its 100x better than the chintzy ebay ones I had

Razor, your truck is looking awesome! I am looking into getting a similar lift, with 33" tires and keeping the stock wheels.. so I was wondering if you needed to use wheel spacers with this lift/tire size to not rub?

Can you run 33s with stock wheels? I thought not from info I gathered in other threads. Been wrong many times before though.

So i pulled off the rbp/nerf step bars. My CBI weld on sliders with kickouts just finished getting line-x'd and will be welded on in a couple weeks. I also had to throw on a 1/2" toytec spacer onto the drivers side because of that goofy lean. I refuse to adjust the coil to compensate for the full 3/4" lean I had after install because that just jacks up the downtravel way too unevenly. Not only that but having the lean with a lift is a little dangerous as I found I was able to throw my traction control aggressively turning in the direction of the lower side (drivers). Note for toyota, when you're bringing out tacomas into the market with a 3/4 +" lean on some you're really f'n up the handling capability in times of quick handling. After the spacer i'm only at almost a 1/2" difference. I find this is negates the handling issue and is impossible to tell visually.

Truck looks amazing man. Always loved that color when I see it rolling down the road. I can't wait to do a projector retro on my Taco too and make some eyelids up for it
