This thread makes me want an RC crawler. Have to add to my birthday list. I have an old Kyosho Vanning Integra from the 80’s in the garage. I think I’m going to get it out and fire it up.

Best tools for removing 3D printer slag in tight areas. Any good micro sanding tool? Also is it better to sand large parts before applying primer filler?

Dremel seems to be the standard. And I think there is a spray on adhesion promoter.

Traxxas trx4, I picked up the kit on Sunday. Sadly I'm stuck until Traxxas mails me a 24T output gear. The one they put in the kit doesn't fit the bearing that it's supposed to. In the meantime I get to work on this:

Pro-line '85 Toyota sr5. Sadly I'm waiting on a bunch of stuff to come in the mail for it as well, hopefully I'll get some by this weekend. Got some scale details via shapeways and a wrap from freqeskins. Just need to paint the inside white or black before then.

I got a new truck! It's a cheap Newbright from Walmart, but it's a 4wd. The new one is the Ram. It's actually faster than my CR12 Ford! I still like the Ford better because it does better off road.IMG_8766.jpg IMG_8774.jpg

TRX4 update: I got it running, tossed together a little obstacle course in the back yard to test things out. Crawls pretty good without the body! Chased the dog around for a bit and then stripped out the plastic servo horn within about 20 minutes. So I drove across town to the hobby shop and got an aluminum one, got that replaced and took it out in the back yard to play a bit and fried the stock servo. :annoyed: Back to the hobby shop yesterday morning and bought a BEEFY Protek 370 . I had read that the steering servo was the weakest link on the TRX4 but less than 30-40 minutes of run time is ridiculous. I'm going to call them tomorrow and at least see if I can get a replacement for a back up and maybe give them a piece of my mind.

I'm hoping to get the body painted today to prep for my wrap that is supposed to come tomorrow.
I'm not happy with how the pro-line window masks line up so I need to trim them a bit in areas and expand them in a few others. I may end up waiting to paint until after I wrap it, just to make sure everything lines up. I'm also thinking about what to do with the rear cage paint wise. I want to paint/weather it up a bit so it doesn't look so plasticky. I have some Rustoleum bed liner and may just throw a couple light coats on there to give it some texture and hide the seams.
