We continue to switch customers from other tunes at an alarming rate. Many believe the unrealistic claims made by certain companies but when put to the test, the truth always come out. Remember everyone, numbers can easily be skewed or manipulated to look good but with the correct eye you can spot the deception. It's your hard earned money and you should get what you're paying for. Numbers/dynos never lie.

Example #1 is a N/A 3rd Gen Tacoma running 295s. We'll call this the "Dishonorablely Discharged" tune. 131? "Stay Tuned", more to follow on this one!

Example #2 is a 3rd tacoma, Magnuson Supercharged, 33s, 4.88. Shows before and after follow up.

Last year Overland Tailor Tuning OTT did a pretty extensive report. Take a look below. If you're on another tune, stop paying these silly bogus updates every few months. It's just a way to extort you for more money. Often times there is NO benefit for you, other than a company fixing flaws in their tune due to lack of experience. You shouldn't be flipping that bill.

Be aware that purchasing certain intakes can alter the maf (mass air flow) calibration and should be be corrected with a tune that properly recalibrates the ECU to correct the fueling error induced as a result. In this case 12% lean on the 4.6L v8 w/ AFe. We have seen much worse, especially on V8 5.7s which can suck some major air. However this is not the case with all intakes. We stick to the data at Overland Tailor Tuning OTT. Head over to RC Tuning FL Garage for more!

We did two rounds of scaling to reduce the overall error, but recalibrate things to make the sampling/fueling more precise. (tighter bell curve). You can see that in the 1st scale. The 2nd scale mostly just reduced the error, we had addressed most of the precision in the 1st scaling. 3rd being end result.

We revisited the dyno on our 2G Tacoma. The green line is base line stock, orange line is tuned, the red line I want you to pay attention to.

Red line is our test Tacoma with our tune AND PROPER maintenance, fresh plugs, etc. it goes to show how much better your vehicle will perform with 91 Octane and a vehicle that is maintained.

Take care of your vehicle and it will take care of you.

Yesterday June 24th Overland Tailor Tuning OTT became CARB certified for the 3rd Gen Tacoma 3.5L. Executive Order # D-833. Making OTT the first and only naturally aspirated CARB compliant calibration for the Toyota Tacoma. 50 State Legal.

OTT continues to raise the bar, and with decades of tuning experience has proven you can safely create performance tunes while meeting/exceeding all regulations.

CARB Is responsible for evaluating the emission control systems of vehicles and engines, and evaporative emission control systems of engine-equipped devices. When CARB finds that the vehicle/engine/evaporative emission control system complies with all of emission standards and emissions-related requirements, it grants their CARB certification making it 50 state legal.

As you research stuff for your build please be cautious of fake/manipulated reviews. It's very hard now a days to find honest/true/neutral feedback. Most have hidden incentives to promote certain products. Sadly it's no different in the tuning world. Be weary of those making suggestive statements or posts. Remember Overland Tailor Tuning OTT has a record of all tuned vehicles so it's very easy to spot the BS. I see many posts by competitors claiming/eluding to have "driven" or "had" OTT but when called out, they run for the hills. Using phrases like "the popular competitors tune" - . Steer clear of companies like this. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

This is a message I woke up to this morning. Over the years I have switched hundreds of customers from other brand tunes. They come to me understandably frustrated after wasting their time and money. While there is no better mod for your Toyota or Lexus, please remember all tunes are NOT the same!!! Be sure to do plenty of research when spending your hard earned money, be cautious of fake/manipulated reviews. Support your LOCAL tuner, they will always be a message away if there are any updates, tune adjustments or run into any issues. STOP supporting out of state tuners and overpaying for sub par tunes!
