So I was thinking of installing a sub box but I’m wondering what is the best way to add rca’s to the stock head unit! What’s everyone using?

No good way. It’s not just the physical connection.

    Line output converter.

If you're still using the factory head unit you're not building a competition grade system and a LOC will suit your needs just fine.

I don't plan on replacing my headunit and simply by adding power, new speakers and small 8" sub behind the rear seats I've got more clarity, volume, highs and lows than many "OEM Premium" stereos.

    3 options.

    1.line output converter.

    2. amp that accepts high level inputs.

    3. aftermarket head unit that has real rca outputs.

just be sure that if you're connecting to the oem radio, that you're connecting to the front speaker outputs, not the rear, as the rear speaker is a neutered signal that doesn't have as much bass in it.

Ok so I took on the project today and I replaced the dashboard tweeters with DS18 plug and play, did the front doors with DS18 4 ohm 6x9’s 500 watts max 250 rms both tweeters and 6x9’s a direct plug and play to the OEM head unit ! Now for the rear doors I used DS18 4 ohm 6.5’s 500 watts max 250 rms but I ran them to a Taramps TS 400x4 which bridged puts out 200 watts to each speaker . I also used a L O C which was plug and play for the OEM radio. What are your thoughts did I do everything right or should anything be done differently?
