Okay where is the molex left? In the actual 4wd switch? You need that molex to supply power to the board IF it is soldered to the contacts on the switch. Or the other method is to cut the molex pins off and go right from the board to the green, green/white wires on the AC lights. Pics will help tremendously if you can get some up.
Damn i must be Fing retarded. Still not working.Well one of the molex got stuck into the plug, couldnt get it out so i yanked it out.(Reason? reversed the pins) Round 2 Got someone to solder it on to the factory switch like the diagram didnt work, they reverse the polarity didnt work. Im gonna wait and have a friend help with the AC light deal. thanks guys for all the help! And thank you bicemen for making this possible.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!

Maybe its me, but it sounds like you aren't actually supplying power to the board. You have to solder it to the factory switch, plug the molex into the factory plug AND run those wires and tap into the AC wires. Or you can pull the wires through the factory switch, cut the molex pins off and tap into the AC wires.

could I just plug the molex into the AC plug and supply power directly to the board?

No soldering for me, so is the above possible?

Great Mod- Really Enjoyed the Install- SOLDERED IT WITH THE WELLER JUNIOR - A RELIC FROM UNCLE TED'S GARAGE.

From what I'm reading here- Take your time and it will be fine!

I went with the White LED's and Red Arrow- Pleasing to the eyes and really illuminates the H2-H4-L4.
It's a great combination of colors for the dial- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

rcbs204- Go enjoy your well deserved vacation and reap the fruits of your labor- Very nice work.:)

No. But you don't have to solder anything. Take the wires, run them through the hole in the back of the switch where the stock bulb should be, the brown plug, and t-tap them into the AC lights. You have to cut the molex pins off and discard to do it this way. The molex pins are only for the soldering, "factory look" method. Be aware though that with the non-soldering method you will need to disconnect the factory plug and the PCB board wires to remove the switch.

I'm gone pick up the t-taps tomorrow morning but was just hoping that using the supplied molex pins could get me power through the AC plug. Let me get this straight for the stock look you get power from the AC plug and run it to the plug for the 4x4? Which in turn gives power to the PCB board which is soldered to the switch. Then why wouldn't plugging the pins directly to the AC switch give power to the PCB? Just curious.

I do understand how to do it correctly just wondering about the route above mentioned. I am waiting on T-taps because none of the near by buisnesses carry them.

Your confused. If you use the molex pins, they plug into the connector that is already there that plugs into the back of the 4x4 switch.

Thats the kinda shit I needed to hear. lol. Thanks. I have no clue how I had that mixed up like that must be the meds I have been taking for my surgery. I see now. No matter what you have to tap into the wires from the AC. I for some reason was thinking we were using the molex pins for the AC plug. Don't know why. Thanks for bearing with me.

Thats just crazy!! That is a very common item up here. Napa, Radio Smack maybe even walmart has them. Crazy.

That is what we are here for, glad you figured it out. Not you just have to hook it up. LOL

To be honest I have never seen T-taps before and really don't know if I will find them tomorrow. I have done plenty of wiring (entire chevelle from radio shack wire) just not on a new truck with all these fancy plugs, lol.

If I can't find the T-taps i'll just splice them together and then add some spades to allow for me to seperate them later for incase I need to work on the switch. Again thanks.

Well you don't NEED the t-taps. You can splice the wire whatever way you want. I don't want to admit it, but I used the old friction fit on mine. I just pushed the wires into the back of the AC plug. I don't recommend this way. It was one of those, "I'll fix it later". Well it has been 4 months and still haven't fixed it. Maybe in the spring. See if this shows up as being available by you http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103500&clickid=prod_cs#

I'll keep my eye open for these today. From the picture I don't see where the female spade attatches to the other piece. Maybe in person I will see better. Thanks.

Actually, the spade that comes with it is a male spade. After you fold the T-tap over the wire and crimp it, the male spade plugs into it and helps lock it closed.

Thanks rcbs204 for the great work. Installed and works great (also dims with the other dash lights). I followed the install instructions exactly (especially using the pictures provided). I did the soldering on the 4WD switch, installed the molex connectors in the 4WD switch plug but instead of soldering the red and white wires on the AC control wires I used these quick connectors. Use the RED quick connector because it is made for 18-22 gauge wire and the wires being used are 22 gauge).
