I just got mine in, but won't have time to install it for a couple of weeks. At this price, it's easier to buy the kit than try to chase everything down. I had started picking out suitable-color LEDs last winter, but ran out of good ones and never got back around to the project. Cool stuff!

I guess you could always do it through pm's...just so as long as word gets around that you're the goto guy.

Chiming in to say thanks for creating and offering the part. If all works well you should see my order drop into your inbox soon. Now I have the dubious task of sorting though my overcrowded shop searching for my soldering rig looming over me.

Holy crap that was awesome. 22 minutes to install, including tracking down my wire cutters. I did the simple t-tap connection...remember if you're doing it this way, the white goes to the green and white and the red goes to the green. That's the opposite of the way it is in the instructions, and it's well documented at the beginning of the thread, but I wanted to offer another opportunity for folks to see it!

Thanks for the awesome product. I'll help spread the word!

Unless you completely anal it's fine. It's under the steering wheel anyway and it's 1000X better then nothing. I'm very happy with mine.

Just saw that my order's been shipped! :woot:

I'll have to go back and look for this in the thread, but I couldn't picture what you're saying. Sounded like you had all wires going to green. Which one's power and which is ground?

I would have to go out and look at the wiring to see which one is ground, just remember this, they are LED's so they will only pull current in one direction. Meaning, you can hook it up backwards and not hurt the board. Happy wiring, and if you need any help at all just PM me.
    Thanks,

Sorry...the white wire from the switch goes to the green wire with white stripe (i.e. "green and white") from the air conditioner wiring harness. The red wire from the switch goes to the solid green wire.

Not sure which one is power and which one is ground. Sorry for the confusion in my earlier post!

Other than that, I followed the directions from the first post 100%.

I'm about as anal as it comes. If I look really close, it looks slightly more red. You would never, ever be able to tell unless you were looking at it and looking REALLY hard to see the difference.

It doesn't bug me at all. It's such a great product from what I can tell. I really don't think you'll be disappointed.

I finally got around to installing mine (it's been almost a month since it arrived). I did the solder method and am very happy with everything.

Thanks for a very well-made and ingenious product!
