Yea a status light for the foglight switch sounds like a good idea. Right now I'll either turn the switch on/off or just pull up to a car in front of me to check if they're on.

Just read the latest suggested mod and am quite ignorant of the term" CW" What does it mean- covered wire? Californian wine?

    clock wise??

rcbs...I'd also be interested in a status light for the fog light switch if it were ever available.

    Shannon,

Just to be clear, if I order a "stock-color" Lighted 4x4 Switch kit now, I will be getting the new SMD PCB right? I read post #893, but wasn't sure if you exhausted your inventory of 60 "old-style" PCBs yet.

Oh, and add my vote for a Fog Lamp status indicator...

    Nope,
The SMD style is still in development stages.
I still have 45 of the first revision which i have sold over 400 with no problems.
    Thanks,

Houston...we have power!!! The product and instructions are great. Being a wireing and soldering retard I was a bit hesitant on doing this mod but it went very smoothly. I went exactly by the instructions and even soldered to the climate control wires. I highly recommend getting this product. Thanks again rcbs204!

Ordered mine today for my '11, looking forward to fixing the dim switch! Thanks. Printed directions and will read while waiting for delivery. Let me know if you do a kit for the fog lamp switch.

Loved your 4WD switch light. Would also be interested in a fog light status switch modification.

    ^^X2.

When I said "that's exactly what I did", I meant it was exactly how I connected the circuit board to the little brown plug, by wrapping the wires around the channels of the plug.

Rcbs, you're providing a great service to the folks at TW. There have been many times that I've reached for the 4X4 switch in the dark only to crank the fan on full blast.

The fog light on indicator has been done before. Check out the "Cheep Mods & Tutorial" at the top of the page. It has a link on how to do it from Toyota Nation. Here's the link.

    Nice find!
Mine however is manually activated from the cab. Just like the the ones from the early model honda cars. I will post pics soon. I do like the motorized one, until it fails and you are out of gas. The only way i would use the electric ones is if there is a fail safe or manual over ride.
