little off topic, but can you fit a 16" rim with that 4.5" rcd lift?

Those are some good ideas. Does anyone know if putting some adjustable coilovers in there for the RCD lift would work? Everytime I look at this lift on someones truck it seems to be sitting lower in the front.

isnt it the springs that hold the truck up and not the shocks? If so, seeing how you use the stock springs with the rcd kit go get 4", i would think any 3" adj c/o would work witht this lift. anything ajusted after 0" would be an additional raise ontop of the 4" you get from the RCD.

    Will this work?

no, that wouldnt work. The bilsteins that RCD supplies with their lift are a lengthened shock when compared to the overall length of a stock coil over assembly even though it uses the factory spring. Although, i dont see why a set of OME 885's or similar springs couldnt be used to gain a bit of height out of the front. The valving in bilsteins may or may not work well with the heavier rate springs though...

i understand the bilsteins are a lengthened shock that uses the stock spring. But if you put this bilstein shock with the stock spring in a stock truck, wouldnt the height be the same as a stock? isnt the bilstein longer only to compensate for the additional travel needed for the 4" d/b and not for height purposes? if 885s would work, why wouldnt a 3" C/O work too?

What can I do besides the RCD and the All Pro options given in this thread if I want something in between a 3" and 6" lift? 3" doesn't seem much of a lift and 6" is too high. Someone mentioned a body lift. Is that a good idea? It's mainly for cosmetics. I have a 4x4 for so the spindles are out. Trying not to spend close to 2K for a lift.

the RCD lift is 4.5" drop bracket lift
Procomp and Fabtech are 6" drop bracket lifts
Allpro, Total Chaos, Engauge and Camburg make LT kits, combined with adjustable coilovers giving (i think) 2.5"-4" of lift.
All other spacer and coilover kits are going to be up to 3.5" of lift, but not recommended to go over 3"

edit: you said $2k limit, so cross out the drop bracket and LT kits

All your poll questions are against a 4.5" lift.

    Somebody is a little bias...

No you do not need UCAs, The taller Spindle keeps the ball joint angles correct.
