Noticeably stiffer, as expected, but not too bad. Very happy with the ride quality. I always thought the stock springs were way too soft though.

What kind of carrier bearing drop is included? Is it adjustable? I am trying to compile a list of everything I need to install the RCD kit.

I am also torn between getting a set of Alcans or running the Allpro expedition leaf pack with a slanted 1 inch block (I want 5" of lift in the rear).

    Thanks.

It's spacers with longer bolts. Not adjustable.

I too might go the 4" leaf pack plus a 1" block. Really want the custom Alcans, but the long wait has me on the fence. Oh well, we will see. Still need to get my LR UCAs installed and spacers.

Here is a pic with Dakars and 1.5" blocks. Also debadged it today.

Alcan told me 3-4 weeks from date of payment. Doesn't seem too long....

My buddy ordered some a few years ago. Was told 3 weeks. Ended up taking 3 or 4 months and was told bullshit lies. Springs ended up sagging a bit over time too. He did haul stuff now and then though, so they might not be the best option for those that do. I didn't go the alcan route because of his negative experience. I don't like being lied too and I haul stuff now and then.

I have significantly more driveline shutter with the Dakars and 1.5" blocks (not tapered) than with the 4" blocks. I'm going to try that carrier drop bracket.

Since you want 5" rear lift, you may want this drop bracket instead:

Yeah, I am most likely going with allpro expos and a tapered 1 inch block. I will see how it goes with the RCD bearing bracket and then decide if I need to try the alternatives. RCD kit has been ordered....

I am pretty sure 16 inch wheels won't work with the RCD kit. Seems like a pretty small tire to run on a 4 inch lift.

EDIT: 16 inch wheels fit according the RCD website. (see two posts down)

I stand corrected, just checked the RCD website and it says:

    Max Backspace: 16” and larger x 8” - 4.5” backspacing

Post up some pics if you get 16" wheels on. They must really close to the tierod ends if they do work. I know my tierods are pretty close on my 17" wheels.

Nice! Those 315s are really stuffed in there. Any rubbing issues?

I spent last weekend in the hills camping. The way people talk about the Dakars being stiff, I was expecting to get the shit beat out of me driving around up there. These things ride great! So smooth going over pot holes and bumps. VERY happy with them.

Yeah had to cut the fenders and most of the plastics in the wheel well as well as the cab mount. We had to run my 1.25 spacers to clear the knuckle.

Haven't flexed it out much so we will see how that goes.
