Quick noob question. When I get my Tacoma (should be some time in the next year) I am looking to get this lift. In regards to wheels: will FJ Trail Team wheels fit? I couldn't find exact specs but they are 16" and have a 4.5 BS. Sorry if this is a no-brainier, again, I'm a noob.

Ehh, Only things I painted was the front grill and plastidipped the rear bumper. Didn't try to go full black out...you never go full tard....hah...

Other then that the toolbox is black and the windows are limo tinted. The rims are also a dark graphite tint which might also add to the "blackout"

Painted a trd badge too but I also left some color to have some color on the truck. Although I think I might look for a old retro red 4WD badge...

Was plasti dipping the rear bumper difficult. Also how long does that last due to chipping etc. Do you have to reapply often?

My rear bumper is plasti dipped as well and it wasn't too difficult. I used about 2 cans on it and I haven't had to touch it up once. Had it on my truck for a least a couple months now to include hitting some off road trails.

I'm thinking seriously about using plasti dip now for all the badges and not just
The front badge. Now I'm trying to think what I should do with the chrome on the front grill. I can plasti dip the bumper. Was that matte which you guys used?

I was thinking about doing the wheels in gloss. However all I can find is matte black plasti dip. Do you spray the gloss over the matte black to make glossy?

Try autodip. It's new and looks good.

Thanks, I want aware of their products. I finished all my badges. This auto dip may be an option for bumper and silver grill.

I just used a spray can I got at auto zone or something. Didn't spend much time taping off or anything like that. I just sprayed it down until my can was gone, I even put a light haze on the license plate...hah!
It's lasted for 2 years now, however they're are a few places that need to be recoated.

I used a flat black spray paint for grill, helps to sand I between light coats.

I'm currently thinking about selling my RCD lift kit just for MPG purposes and need to bring the height down just a tad. The kit is 6 months old and I never had a problem with it. Does $2,000-$2,100 sound like a reasonable price?? I bought it for $2,500 so I feel like this is a pretty good deal. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, I don't know what others might pay, but I would not buy a used DB kit unless it was severely discounted...and I mean severely discounted.

Not sure how this is going to work... What are your going to do about the frame that was cut for the lift???

You would need another db lift.mand I think rcd might be the shortest...? Idk maybe you could find a 3"

You do realize that gas is like $1.75/gal?

Lol yes I do realize that gas is cheap right now. I just need something a little lower for college because I will be traveling back and forth from work and school which is 45 mins apart. So I was planning on running a 3 inch lift if I could get rid of this one. I did forget about the frame cutting though lol

I'd consider lighter less aggrieved tires before all that. Losing an inch of lift won't do a damn thing.
