I see a lot of you out there get the RCD lift then try to get more height out of it...Question-Do you wish you had just gotten a 6" lift (6" BDS lift with fox coilovers for example) in first place or nahhh?? I'm asking because I'm not sure If I'd want to go 6 either. I guess i figured if i got RCD lift and wanted, its easier to add a little then be stuck at 6 to begin with-right?

That's a good question. I'll tell you my thoughts...
I chose the RCD lift knowing that I wanted more than 4-5". IMO, the best way to get 6-7" of lift is go with a 4-5" DB lift and then get additional lift from spring or coilovers. That way, there are no worries about lack of ground clearance because you will end up with just as much clearance under the DB as a truck with only a spring or coilover 3" lift. My son's truck with RCD and OME 884s has 7.25" of lift and 15" of clearance under the crossmember. Best of both worlds, IMO.

my truck came with the lift for the price of stock truck so i grabbed it quick....with that being said i wish i had a 6" lift solely due to ground clearance. first lifted truck usually i go the other way lol "low" i dont like the drop bracket as much.

on another note i just installed my eibach 112-620 springs, new tires, and did alignment. it is a totally different truck in regards to on pavement havent taken offroad. just put on km2 305/17/70 tires. springs should of been beefed up when rcd made lift. no rubbing at full lock left or right and i have stock bumper for the ones that are wondering about springs.

Do you mean the ride is much better than using the stock coils on the front?

The ride is softer with stock coils than it is with Eibach coils. The Eibach have a higher spring rate.

Yeah I know the theory, I was just asking what he thought. Lol what I find with the stock springs is when on turning and hitting a bump/ hole. I get some rubbing. So a higher spring weight is what I need I am thinking. I am not sure how you get a 6" lift without a drop bracket and have your cv angles not at 30 degrees. The only thing that gives you ground clearance is bigger tires? No

    I'm running eibachs.

The RCD lift is a drop bracket lift.

If you are rubbing, trim, CMC, or lift it higher.

If I were to do it again, I'd get a 6" lift to start with, but that's only because I'm running 35s. If I were running 33s, I'd stick with the RCD.

BTW, Fox no longer makes options for BDS or RCD lifts.

What do you think of 886 coils? Would the ride be way to stiff...

Anyone added spacers to their RCD lift to give enough clearance to run 35's?

Tons of folks on this thread run 35s on the RCD lift. There are several different ways to achieve the lift needed. I did it by adding OME 884 coils to the RCD package.
