Yup! Decisions, decisions, I'm in the same boat. I have my eye on a few but all of them seem to be out of stock!

Which way you leaning? I'm wondering if I'll be happy with a Tepui Baja for under a grand or to go all the way to the ruggedized Kukunam sky for 2 grand. I really like the HIT Jalama as well but that's $1800. And does my 20 percent off from rei work for the tepui.... hard decisions.

I'm actually leaning towards a FrontRunner for the lighter weight and price. They have good ratings and they appear to be well-constructed, especially for the price. I'd love a CVT or Tepui but compared the FrontRunner's price and weight, it's a no-brainer for me.

The REI 20% off does work on Tepui, it's how I got my Kukenam.

That's good to know, thanks. They have a sale starting tomorrow so I'm gonna have to make some decisions soon. I'll have to look up those other brands you guys mentioned as well. Are you happy with your tepui? Did you get the ruggedized?

I am really happy with it. I've only got to open it up in the driveway since I got it in April (thanks mid-May Colorado snow storm) but the quality and functionality is awesome! I got the normal Kukenam model, as I didn't want to spend the extra dough for the Ruggedized. However, I have noticed that both the Ayer and regular Kukenam are no longer listed on REI's site, but from my constant looking before I purchased mine, Tepui models get tossed around so much on their website for some reason. It may or may not come back in stock during the sale.

    just a few things.
i like my ruggedized kukenam. It is alittle heavier 180 vs 150pds. i think it does better in windy conditions? less flapping sounds? And it also comes with a anti-condensation mat(135). With the discount from rei it came out to around 1700 after taxes

Guys... It might be a no go for me :( I found a good deal on a font bumper and I ended up dropping $800 on that plus another $400 on pods and light bar

@ajsabra since we're close to 15, do you want to get another read from everyone on the list? I'm 100% in on this and am interested if others are serious.

When we hit 15 I will, but otherwise let's wait it out a little longer. I'm surprised no one else wants a badass rack, cmon people join up

Should we do a separate public post that announces the group buy?

I cant imagine they would want to turn away 14 customers, right? I am surprised there are not more people in on this too.
