Make sure your transmission skid plate is the current design with sides that angle vertically. The older style flares out at a 45 degree angle or so, and the wings won't attach correctly without modification.

Just installed them on my 2020 T4R on full set of existing steel Rci skids. Placed part on center skid while on vehicle to make sure of clearances, then marked with sharpie. Removed rear and center skids. drilled and bolted on and re-installed. On Taco had 1/4" aluminum wings installed on center skid 5'x17". Prefer the Rci parts easy install. Maybe 1 hour to complete.

Installed mine a few weekends ago. Ordered in March, took 3 weeks to arrive. Originally went with MillerCat stainless steel, but then these were invented. I like being able to retain the skid.

    A few notes:
    1) I worried the supplied nyloc nuts would loosen with the high heat and nylon burning up. I added lock washers + red thread lock.

    2) If you get the drill holes exact, 5/16" provides a more snug fit for the carriage bolts.

    3) I coated the holes with POR-15 because: rust.

    4) Was a 2.5 beer job (it took me probably 1.5-2 hours) from skid removal to re-install.

Check on my order while you're there, tell him Burk is looking for his skid plate and cat guards.

Awesome, this is a far better solution than the shadetree fab job I was planning.

Easy install! The pink stuff is high temperature ball bearing grease, to prevent corrosion here in the north east

Just installed mine two weeks ago - I recommend replacing the bolts used to mount the front of the trans skid plate/the rear of the engine skid plate with security head 8x1.25mm bolts. Some more-determined cat-stealers have been known to bring wrenches with em, so increase your odds by making your truck a harder nut to crack.

Put the full skid set including the cat "wings" on Dad's 2020 Sport yesterday. Thought this might be helpful as he wasn't happy with removing the plastic "blocker" for the space above the frame rail on both sides that has to be removed in order for the crossmember that comes with the TC skid to fit. Guess they're there to keep critters and excessive debris out.

Anyway, after looking at it a second, I cut some of the "blocker" away and was able to reinstall on both the passenger and driver side (pictured behind the brake line junction). This is probably obvious to most but didn't occur to me until he made mention that he didn't like the fact that they were there for a reason and were being removed.

Really impressed with the RCI skid package overall. We put the transmission skid into place to see about where to mark for drilling and installing the "wings," which Pop took care of while I was crawling around underneath to put in the crossmember and putz around with the "blockers" shown below. Back to the kit, everything fit very will, all the hardware was spot on and it seems like the thing could take an IED blast and survive now. He should be good at his usual fishin holes from here on out I would think.

Here it is on passenger side with the RCI crossmember attachment point and the "blocker" removed.
