I got the skids a couple days after ordering but just now had time to install. Besides being heavy(steel), install went well with zero issues..

Question - has anyone experienced the crossmember of the transfer case skid dropping lower due to road vibrations? I wonder if there's a way to keep it from sliding down due to the elongated slotted holes for the bolts holding it to the frame?

Mine are tight. No issues with long bolts or looseness.

Got my sliders installed, took about 1.5 hours to do both sides. Did anyone have any issues with whatever module that is on the driver side rail? I couldn't put it back together the way it came off but I just moved it a little forward and used one nut to secure it. Ordered the 5* no top plate.

I had the same problem. Took my about 4 hours to do both sides. I was working alone with no jack though. I could not get that thing back in because the new screw through the slider and frame from the outside was protruding inside the frame and the screws from the box would not reach through now. I put on side it tight and decided to deal with it later. (not sure if that all made sense)

    I have a 2019 OR DCSB.

I have same. What you can do is reverse the bolt. Put the nut on the outside of the slider and the bolt head on the inside. I thought of doing it but it was secure enough for me that I didnt bother to redo it.

Did you have any bolts left over? I have 2 "complete sets" of bolt, washer, half moon washer and nut. I'm assuming that goes in the portion that needs to be drilled but I'm not going to.

Yep. I had extra bolts and half moon washers too. It was dark when I got done and I was beat. This was last Sunday. I have not even thought about it until I saw your post, lol. Sounds like the same stuff here. Maybe I will get under there and redo it at a later date. Like... summer when it is warm out!

Will be installing my 5* top plated sliders this upcoming week when I get home from work. Thanks for the picture to motivate me!

A jack with a wide piece of lumber works out great. Did it solo no problem and it was stable.

Also for the module on the driver side, with that bolt try putting the bolt head on the inside of the frame and the nut on the outside. You will see what I mean when installing it. Might redo mine if it is successful with you. Lol

I almost went and grabbed a jack. But, we have a 3 car garage... kids... bikes... my workbench. Just out of space and figured I would never use it again. I had to stack up some 2x4s and tool boxes lol. It worked ok. It was just time consuming by myself.

When I get a break over Turkey day I will probably go back in and see if I need to rework it. It is pretty tight in there now.... we shall see. I will post back up when I do.

Here are my sliders installed. Lots of work, but look great. I am happy. Now, my wife/kids can't door ding my car in the garage like they did that last one after having it 2 weeks. Man was I pissed.

Is that no slip tape? I was thinking of doing the same and that looks good. For those that are wondering what I was talking about earlier, I couldn't leave well enough alone and went and flipped the bolt. Also I added vacuum caps (3/8" I think) on the bolts that looked like it would rub against the brake lines.

it is no slip tape. I have 2 kids and live in CO so it gets snowy/icy. I like it. Thick. Stuck good so far.

Same plus the short wife. Only reason I went with 5* otherwise I prefer the 20* since that has a better profile to me.

I’ve been rocking that tape for almost a year now. It’s been through one winter and it’s ready for this winter. No need to replace it. I am very impressed with that stuff!! I have kids that use the sliders to get in and out of the truck with out it I’m sure they would have slipped especially in the winter.

And this is why I went with 5* and top plate. A petite wife in a skirt trying to navigate the lift every time without a step or slider would be bad.

Well, to be honest, I don't want my wife in my truck at all so I went 20, not plates. Maybe I am an assh***.... or maybe I have been married for 20 years, lol

Due to a glitch on the website with the 20% off I was able to order the same day the info was put out. Still got my order in the order it was made and ordered respective to previous orders. If you ordered a popular piece of protection your wait times may be lengthy. Patience, Grasshopper.
