I have their sliders, and all their skids. Trust me I want to like them, but they don't admit they messed up when they obviosly did. I'm not asking for the world here. I've spent over $1800 with RCI just to find out i have to grind down my skid thinner to avoid my diff or add plastic spacers.

Eh. I'd almost rather not have the hump and grind a little LOL.
Mobtown does something like that too I think.

I wouldn't mind it. its functional, and it gave me an idea to fix mine.

I have the same skid you do and mine is close for sure, but I don't think it touches. It's just really close. I'd just vote getting a couple of basic spacers and calling it good.

Uhh I haven't seen anyone point out the fact if OP actually uses his skid, takes a hit in the center of the skid it will get transferred straight to the differential........Can you say "cracked differential casing" ?

Exactly. Take any sort of sizeable hit and that energy gets transferred right into the diff, which is no bueno.
    That's their solution?!
That's a negative. Mobtowns skids are smooth as can be, and work with or without a diff drop.

Ya, good point. Just sucks that you have to deal with that when you order a product like this. If you do do some fab work, keep us posted.

That's the hard part for skid manufacturers- make it as "high clearance" as possible without running into issues like this. The hump would be especially useful if you have a diff drop. I tried to install mine but the spacers were for a stock skid so I had to take the diff drop off. My angles aren't bad so I just let the drop kit sit in the garage.

You are correct. They lower the whole skid about a quarter inch.

If you weld, or have a buddy that welds, that would be an easy fix. Ask RCI if they will send you the part. You cut and weld. I’m sure they might go for that. Or make your own.

I think they could have just increased the bend at the bottom to give it the space for the diff.
